Eula Fern Walls

Eula Fern Walls, 92, of Springfield passed away on Tuesday June 17, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Home. She was born on August 23, 1921 in Pawnee to Earl F. and Elsie P. Halford Requarth. She married Louis E. Walls on July 28, 1948 and he preceded her in death on November 22 2003.

She is survived by her two sons: Steven L. (Vicki) Walls of Springfield and Brian E. (Angela) Walls of Columbia, MD., six grandchildren: Rob (Lisa) Walls of Charlotte, NC., Craig (Victoria) Walls of Houston, TX., Rebecca Walls of Charlotte, NC., Matthew (Debra) Walls of Vancouver, WA., Megan (Dylan) Walker of MD., and Nicholas Walls of MD., seven great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Amanda, Jacob, Caden, Kele and Jaxon Walls and Jack George Walker, one brother Elmer (Catherine) Requarth of Springfield, one sister-in-law Lorraine Taylor of Auburn and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Walls was a member of the First Christian Church in Springfield, the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and a former member of the Ansarettes.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday June 20, 2014 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street and the family will meet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
