Emma Lorraine Jones

Lorraine was born in Sangamon County, IL, January 31, 1921 the daughter of Raymond and Delya (Heiner) Stevens. She married Harold W. Jones in Springfield, August 14, 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1999. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Melvin and Howard Stevens, her son, Larry L Jones and a nephew, Dwayne Stevens.

Lorraine was always helping others. In addition to caring for her own children and tending to her home, she would also care for other children and assist other families with their home as well. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of various leagues. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her two sons; Garry Jones of Franklin, NC, and Randal Jones of Springfield. She has four nieces: Deb Huddleston of Springfield, Karen Estep of Surprise, AZ, Linda Davis of Temecula, CA and Gloria Creasey of Springfield.

Cremation rites will be accorded by the Bisch Crematory. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in Chatham Cemetery.
