He is survived by his wife, Pamela Floyd Cohen, whom he married on October 14, 1989. Elliott and his first wife, Shirley Lapidus Cohen, had 2 children. He is survived by his daughter Blair (Ron Heller) Miller of Highland Park IL and grand-daughter, Alexis Morgan Miller, currently residing in Baltimore MD. He was preceded in death by his son, Mitchell Alan Cohen.
Elliott was a US Army Veteran who served in Germany. His sales career with Swank relocated him to Springfield in 1963 and, as a result, he was a friend to many. Unofficially known as the “Best Dressed Man” of Springfield, he was the proprietor of Elliott’s on the Square for many years and enjoyed a long career in various sales capacities. He was an avid tennis player and beloved dog owner of Oscar, Moishe and Yom.
Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Friday, January 18 at Temple Israel, with visitation preceding at 10am. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
