Elizabeth G. “Beth” Turner, 43, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born in Indianapolis, IN, August 8, 1969 the daughter of Lincoln and Gean Cole Cochran. She married Merrill Turner Jr. February 22, 1992 in Springfield and he survives.
She is also survived by her three children; Olivia, Emma and Matthew Turner all at home, her parents Lincoln and Gean Cochran, her brother, Matt (Peggy) Cochran all of Springfield, her sister, Meghan (Anthony) Oh, of Chatham, IL and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Beth earned her bachelor of arts in Accounting. She was the operations manager of the orthopedic and podiatry department of Springfield Clinic. She was a member of Laurel United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for several years. Beth also was a past Girl Scout leader at Sandburg School.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm Monday November 19, 2012 at Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield, IL.
Funeral Service: A funeral service will be held at 10 am Tuesday November 20, 2012 at Laurel United Methodist Church 630 S. Grand Ave. West with Rev. Jerry King officiating. Burial will follow in Chatham Memorial Cemetery, Chatham, IL.
In lieu of flowers, those that wish may direct memorial contributions in Beth’s memory to "Fight for Beth" c/o Marine Bank in Springfield to be used for the education of her children or the Laurel United Methodist Church.
