Edward L. Ruebling

Edward L. Ruebling, 66, of New Berlin, passed away at 10:02 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center. Edward was born April 10, 1944 in St. Charles, MO, the son of Arlie Henry and Dolores Naomi Besand Ruebling. He married Gail Yvonne Cooper. She preceded him in death and he later married Patricia Gail Matsko. She also preceded him in death, as well as his parents, and daughter, Jamie Patino. Edward served his country in the Air Force. He owned Erios Italian Village in St. Louis, MO and later was employed at Intercraft Picture Frame Co. He was an avid bowler, loved the outdoors, music and was a DJ at WQNA Radio Springfield, at the Capital Area Career Center. He is survived by his sons, Aaron (wife, Linda) Ruebling of Riverton and Jason (Shantel) Ruebling of Springfield; daughter, Carrie Ruebling of Woodland Park, CO; step-son, Rob Patino of Springfield; two step-daughters, Sonya Patino of Albany, OR and Nicole Patino of Chicago; thirteen grandchildren, Leia, Nick, Lonnie, Nathan, Chelsea, Tara, Zach, Diego, Deven, Vivian, Patrick, Ashley and Katie; five great-grandchildren, Autumn, Bri, Shon, Kamden, and Zaiden; siblings, Larry and Gary Ruebling, Bill, Joe, and Rick Puller, Debbie Ardoin, Denise Wood and Diane Rutledge, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A funeral ceremony will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Jallas officiating. An additional visitation will be held from 10:00 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Friedens United Church of Christ, 3560 Mill St., New Melle, MO. A funeral ceremony will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Keeney officiating. Burial will follow at Friedens United Church of Christ Cemetery.
