E. William Miller

E. William Miller, 55, of Springfield, died at 9:49 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015 at St. John's Hospital. William was born December 11, 1959 in Carlinville, the son of Edgar and Ester Peterson Miller. He married Jeanne E. Thoron on October 26, 1985 in Girard. William was a graduate of Girard High School and Lincoln Land Community College. He worked as a registered nurse at Concordia Village Lutheran Senior Services. He was an avid reader, especially biographies and was also a NASCAR fan of Jeff Gordon. He and his wife traveled, taking many cruises. William was especially fond of the Caribbean. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne E. Miller of Springfield; one daughter, Rachael Miller of Springfield; one stepson, David (wife, Cristy) Boysel of Springfield; two stepdaughters, Deanna (husband, Darryl) Smith of Petersburg and Katrina (husband, Robert) Lee of Springfield; one grandson, Noah William Miller; one granddaughter, Sidnee Boysel; two brothers, John (wife, Cindy) Miller of Gillespie and Marvin Miller of Wilsonville; he is also survived by his Yorkies, Abby and Scarlett. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Concordia Lutheran Village, 4101 W. Iles, Springfield, with Pastor Chris Nilges officiating. Inurnment will follow at Oak Ridge cemetery.
