Douglas E. “Doug” Needham, 52, of Pleasant Plains, passed away at his home on Tuesday evening, June 18, 2013.
Doug was born in Springfield, February 6, 1961, the son of Robert and Nancy Hamilton Needham. He married Susan Brooks in Springfield, February 14, 2004 and she survives.
He is also survived by his two daughters; Tamara Needham Carpenter and Chelsee Needham both of Springfield, his step-son Travis (wife Brea) Powell of New Berlin, IL, three grandchildren, his parents, Robert and Nancy Needham, his sister, Joyce (husband Rod) Porter of Springfield, three brothers; Steven (wife Christine) Needham of Wisconsin, Marty Needham of Springfield, and David Needham of Tennessee, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Doug was preceded in death by his step-son Staff Sgt. Joshua D. Powell and a grandson.
Doug was the owner/operator of the Angelo’s Pizza in Springfield for several years. Prior to that, he worked for Goodman Fence Co. Doug was a Christian man who loved his family.
