

She was born in Williamsfield, IL on January 1, 1913, daughter of Stanley Ward and Nellie Shover Ward. On August 24, 1935 she was married to Dr. Robert N. Trapp in Bradford, IL.
Mrs. Trapp graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN with a B.A. in History and then later earned a Masters Degree from the University of Illinois in Library Science. She had 21 years experience teaching Latin, History and English and served as the Lincoln High School Librarian in Lincoln, IL.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln, IL and a life-long member of P.E.O. She enjoyed playing bridge and traveling, especially for educational experiences at Elder Hostels with her sister Agatha . She also loved music, particularly playing the piano and attending performances of the Illinois Symphony Orchestra.
A son, Dr. Robert G. Trapp, survives her. A sister, Agatha Sigmond, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a son-in-law, Gary Reinecke and two daughers-in-law, Ann Robert and Kathleen Trapp, also survive her. Preceding her in death are her parents, a daughter, Janet Reinecke , a son William Trapp, a brother Greig Ward and a sister Lois Browning.
Visitation will be at The First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln, IL, 301 Pekin Street Lincoln, IL, 62656, at 10 am followed by the funeral service at 10:30 on Thursday, May 10.
Cremation rites have been accorded with burial at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her name may be made to The Illinois Symphony Orchestra.
