Dorothy Alice Miller

Dorothy Alice Miller, 82, of Springfield, died at 9:06 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2004 at St. John’s Hospital. Dorothy was born August 5, 1921 in Flora, IL the daughter of John J. and Nora Barnett McCracken. She married Loren Miller September 26, 1940 in Henderson, KY. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Don and John McCracken and one sister: Gladys Twell. She is survived by her husband: Loren Miller of Springfield; two daughters: Linda (husband, Ed) Black of Springfield, Diana (husband, Vincent) Romanotto of Springfield; fourteen grandchildren; forty great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren; four sisters: Sally Pickford of Springfield, Louella Ross of Indianapolis, IN, Mary Waggoner of West Salem, Nancy (husband, John) Carpenter of Greenwood, AR; one brother: William E. (wife, Bonnie) McCracken of Jerseyville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home 900 S. 6th St., Springfield from 3-5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2004. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Dr. Reg Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
