Doris Audrey Morris, 95, of Sherman, passed away on August 1, 2023 at the Villas Senior Care. She was born on February 9, 1928 in Hillview, Illinois to George Ford and Georgia Farmer Ford. Doris married Dale W. Morris on May 3, 1947 in Carrollton, Illinois and he preceded her in death on February 28, 2001.
Mrs. Morris is survived by two children: Robert (Donna) Morris of Sherman and Marla (Rick) Lowe of Pawnee, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and one brother Harold Ford. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Gilbert and Darrell Ford and one sister Ruth Bruce.
Doris was a St. Louis Cardinal fan who enjoyed camping, fishing, country music and family dinners. She liked to read her bible and was known for her wonderful fried chicken.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Monday August 7, 2023 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street, with burial to follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:30am until the time of service Monday at Bisch and Son.
