Doris Carol Decker, 71, of Springfield, passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at her residence. Doris was born November 9, 1942 in Chicago. She married Bert Decker on February 14, 1966; he preceded her in death in 1979. Doris was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She was an avid Bridge player, a Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed traveling, especially to Hilton Head. She is survived by her son, Aaron (wife, Tiffany) Decker of Apollo Beach, FL; one daughter, Amy (husband, Jerry, Jr.) Stone of Springfield; grandchildren, Jacob Stone and Alison and Madison Decker; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following visitation. Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on April 1, 2014 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Joshua Traxel officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
