Donna F. Gee

She was born in Columbus, OH, June 15, 1930 the daughter of Donald and Eva (Ott) Woodruff. She married James Gee May 28, 1948 and he preceded her in death May 21, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Matthew Hunter, and her sister, Tudie Shields.

She was a homemaker, caring and raising her children. Donna was well known for her great cooking and baking. Her family especially enjoyed her bread pudding. She spent many years serving as a life guard at the Girls Scout Camps and several Christian Camps. She was a member of 1st Church or the Nazarene.

Surviving are her three children: Timothy (Dorothy) Gee of Muncie IN, Marcia (Ken) Deeke of New Berlin, IL, and Randy (Jami) Gee of Vicksburg, MI. She had ten grandchildren: Jennifer Pilger, Michael (Kai) Gee, Jarek (Ewelina) Walesa, T.J. (Melissa) Gee, Jeffery Hunter, Alison (Adam) McKain, Rachel (Tanner) Whittaker, Alyssa (Andrew) Ollis, Danielle Deeke, and Kesner Gee, and eight great grandchildren.

Memorial Service: A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at 1st Church of the Nazarene 5200 S. 6th St. Frontage Rd. E. Springfield, IL. Rev. Fred Prince will officiate. The family will receive guest beginning at 10:00 am at the church

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to a charity of choice.
