Denise “Neese” R. Schwabacher, nee Engle, 50, of Springfield, formerly of Peoria, passed away on September 23, 2024 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born on November 20, 1973 in Peoria to Dennis Engle and Susan Flanagan Engle. Denise married David Schwabacher on December 28, 1996 in East Peoria, Illinois and he survives.
Mrs. Schwabacher is also survived by one sister Jennifer (Todd) Walter of Morton, her parents Dennis and Susan of Peoria Heights, her grandmother Rachel Hosick of Springfield, several nieces and nephews and her four Yorkshire Terriers: Lucy, Peanut, Molly and Charlie.
Denise graduated from Peoria Heights High School and attended Illinois Central College. She worked at Venture in Peoria, taught pre-school at Little Friends Day Care in Dunlap and Denise was a pharmacy tech in East Peoria and in Springfield. She loved her yorkies as well as taking trips to Chicago and St. Louis visiting friends and attending St. Louis Cardinal and watching Chicago Bulls games on TV.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday October 8, 2024 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road. The family will greet friends from 12:00pm until the time of service at Bisch West.
