Deborah J. Reed, 61, of Springfield, passed away on January 26, 2024, after a prolonged battle with breast cancer.
She was born in Decatur on November 26, 1962, the daughter of Bill F. and Beverly J. Woodruff Reed. Deb married Michael Feliciano in 1987. They all preceded her in death.
Deb graduated from Lakeview High School with the class of 1980. She earned her associate’s degree from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL. Deb also lived in Portland, OR for several years where she worked as an on-site office manager for an architect firm. She loved to live there as it was near the ocean and mountains. Later, Deb moved back to Springfield where she worked as a switchboard operator for the State of Illinois for over 10 years. She loved helping people and animals, bead crafting, cross stitching, and gaming online. Deb was a registered organ donor and gifted her eyes to help two people see.
She is survived by two sisters, Mary D. and Brenda M. Reed; many cousins and their families; and many beloved friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
