Dayne Thomas Sabo

Dayne was born on April 15, 1994, in Springfield, IL, the son of Thomas Leroy and Lori Jean Hayes Sabo.

He graduated from Pleasant Plains High School in 2012 where he was a dedicated varsity football player. Dayne received his Associate of Arts degree from Lincoln Land Community College. He was employed with the St. Louis Art Museum and enjoyed art, drawing, football, and basketball.

Dayne was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Carmen Zanot.

He is survived by his parents, Tom and Lori Sabo of Pleasant Plains; sister, Summer Sabo of Pleasant Plains; companion, Eva Vikman of Finland; grandparents, Paul and Lorraine Sabo of Springfield and Charlie and Carol Hayes of Riverton; paternal great-grandfather, Bill Zanot of Riverton; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cremation was provided by West Harpeth Funeral Home and Crematory in Nashville, TN.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2019, at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Avenue West, Springfield.

The family will host a Celebration of Life showcasing Dayne’s artwork and creativity on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Bomke's Patch, 605 Country Lake Rd., Springfield, with a short informal ceremony starting at 1:00 p.m., followed by an evening of food, drinks and music.
