Dawn H. Libera

Dawn was born July 23, 1942 in Chicago, the daughter of Frederick and Malinda Heckman in Villa Park, IL. They preceded her in death, along with one brother, Gary Heckman. She married Joseph Libera on May 7, 1966 in Villa Park. She and Joe were loving soulmates for 49 years.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; one daughter, Dana (husband, Thomas) Lovekamp; one son, Matthew Libera; and two grandsons, Nicholas and Zachary.

Dawn cherished her time and good friends at the Springfield Chapter of the American Contract Bridge League. She enjoyed watching politics and soap operas on TV, as well as knitting and making stained glass items.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Ave. West, Springfield.

Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
