David Alan Post, 56, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at St. John’s Hospital.
He was born on August 5, 1963 in Springfield, the son of the late Donald Post and Marilyn (Holt) Carlisle.
David worked for Bunn Corporation right out of high school and later lived in Florida, working at Briggs Well Drilling in Ft. Lauderdale as an irrigation specialist.
He is survived by his mother Marilyn Carlisle of Springfield; a brother Darren (wife Sally) Post of Rochester; a niece Rebecca Post of Springfield; a nephew Dylan (companion Brittany) Post of Taylorville, IL; a great-niece Khloe Post of Taylorville, IL; his stepmother Ilene Post of Springfield and a half-sister Jody (fiancé Tim) Post of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by his aunt Sharon Post of Springfield; cousins Kevin of Springfield and Karon (husband Bill) Kaltenback of Colorado; his aunt Barb Holt of Chatham and her daughter Jamie.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
