He was born in Mobile, Alabama on August 1, 1991, to Michael Friend and Kathleen Grimes.
Brian Hunter, David’s stepfather from Springfield survives him. Kathleen Grimes, his mother, preceded him in death. Everyone who knew Dave appreciated his sense of humor and loving nature. Chip, Olivia, and Cecilia Gass, with whom he shared a home in Springfield through the EPIC’s Host Home program, will miss him.
Bisch and Son Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements. At a later date, a memorial service will be held.
