David F. Denzer, 76, of Dawson, died at 8:52 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at St. John’s Hospital. David was born on September 27, 1929 in Bloomington, the son of Frederick E. and Ruth Lee Shoemaker Denzer. He married Pauline Kramer on December 16, 1951 in Springfield, IL. Dave retired in 1989 from the State of Illinois Department of Transportation after thirty- five years as a Computer Analyst. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Riverton. He and his wife served as volunteer ushers at Sangamon State Auditorium (UIS) for 15 years and were former members of the Chatham and the Springfield Square Dance Clubs. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Denzer of Dawson; one son: Dwight (wife, Veronica) Denzer of Springfield; one daughter: Nancy (husband, Eugene) Lamport of Dawson; two brothers: Wally Denzer and Jerry (wife, Viola) Denzer both of Bloomington and several nieces, nephews and their children. Mr. Denzer has donated his body to medical research. A Memorial Service honoring David’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, the corner of 7th and Menard Streets, Riverton with Rev.
