He was born on August 24, 1954 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Sidney and Doris (Papermaster) Rappaport. He married Lisa Strassenberg in Chicago, IL on November 30, 1991.
Dan had worked for the Illinois Department on Aging. He is a member of Chabad of Springfield. Dan’s great-grandfather Rabbi Binyanim Papermaster was the founding Rabbi in Grand Fork, ND in 1859.
In addition to his wife Lisa, he is survived by 1 son Nathan Rappaport of Riverton, IL.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his Aunt Adele Papermaster.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, Springfield. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 1:30 pm at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield. The service will be officiated by Rabbi Mendy Turen.
