Daniel Wayne Henning, 77, of Loami, passed away at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. Daniel was born on May 23, 1941 in Louisville, KY, the son of John H. and Gladys G. Critchelow Henning. He married Gloria Dixon on November 1, 2008 in Bowling Green, MO. Daniel was the head custodian at Turner Jr. High School in Jacksonville for 21 years before retirement. He also did some road construction as a surveyor. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending his time outdoors, hunting, fishing and playing cards. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Linda Glossop and Ruth Ann Baker. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; son, Gerald "Jerry" (wife, Alice) Henning of New Berlin; three daughters, Kim Henning of New Berlin, Melanie (husband, Brandon) Pine of Jacksonville, and Amanda (husband, Bill) Trader of Pleasant Plains; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home, 714 East Gibson St., New Berlin. Funeral Ceremony: 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Darden officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery.
