Christine Chris C. Todd Shields

She was born on December 24, 1956 in Springfield, the daughter of the late James and Evelyn (Merry) Todd.

Christine worked as a customer service representative for Horace Mann in Springfield. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Riverton, IL, where she served as a Eucharist minister and a Sunday School Teacher.

She is survived by a daughter, Jaclynn (fiancé Eric Pinneo) Todd of Riverton, IL, a son, Jason Todd of Rochester, IL, and 2 stepchildren Mike (wife Becky) Shields of Watertown, WI, and Kayte (husband Mark) Kaltz of Oconomoc, WI; 8 grandchildren, Evelynn, Elise, Carmen, Alex, Jonathan, Wilson, Linae, and Emily; 2 brothers, Robert Todd and Jack (wife Mary )Todd and 3 sisters, Marilyn Burgar, Cathy Hagelmeier, and Jean Ann Harbour. A “boatload” of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews also survive.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, George Todd, Sr., and James Todd, and 2 sisters, Phyllis Graves and Bertha Schultz.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 5 pm until time of the memorial service at 6 pm at St. James Catholic Church, 112 N. 6th St., Riverton, IL. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded.
