Chuck was born on January 16, 1933, in Alicia, AR, the son of John and Bertha (Evans) Milner. He married Dotti Williamson Atwood on February 25, 1984, in Springfield.
Chuck graduated from Athens High School. He was a school bus driver for over 20 years and he trained new drivers. Chuck proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Red Coat volunteer at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He enjoyed making clocks, doing puzzles and word searches, reading, and was a history buff. Above all, Chuck loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Gerald, Wendell, and Harold Milner.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Dorothy “Dotti” Milner of Springfield; step-daughters, Lori Atwood of Springfield, and Melissa (Jared) Miller of Grand Rapids, MI; grandchildren, MacKenzie, Callie, Makaye, Parker, Adell, Bennit, and Kayd; great-grandchildren, Braylin, Waverly, Hensley, and Amelia; brother, Lonnie (Sheila) Milner of Richardson, TX; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
The family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
