Catherine Marie "Katie" Thorn, 71, of Springfield, died on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. Catherine was born July 5, 1941 in Green Bay, WI, the daughter of Myland and Marie Peters Hill. Catherine was a member of the Oneida American Indian Tribe and worked as a nurse. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by one son, McKinley Perry of Menard; three daughters, Colette (husband, Robert Earl) Perry of Springfield, Cynthia Hill of Hartford, WI, and Crystal Vega of Springfield; ten grandchildren, Victoria Qualls, Angela Perry, Sederick Perry, Michael Qualls, Christopher Perry, Frederick Harris, Gregory Qualls, Randy Hill, Christian Calles, and Jose Rivera; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Clarinda "Cindy" Kuba of Pembroke, NC. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies. Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
