Carolyn was born August 6, 1942, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Robert and Helene Emilie Jesek Zientara.
She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1960 and was employed as an administrative assistant at Busey Bank in Decatur until her retirement. Carolyn loved her cats and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, especially Thomas Kinkade ones, reading romance novels, watching John Wayne and Clint Eastwood westerns, and listening to Elvis Presley.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Carolyn is survived by her son, James “Jim” (Brinlee Kramer) Jackson of Beaverton, OR; daughter, Catherine “Cathy” Gebhardt of Springfield; and grandchildren, Davis “Cooper” (Grace) Jackson of Portland, OR, Devon Kramer of Beaverton, OR, and Kristen Henry of Springfield.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Graveside Ceremony: 9:00 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Fairlawn Cemetery with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
