Carolyn Jo Bayliff, 58, of Fenton, Missouri, formerly of Springfield, passed away on Friday January 20, 2017 at Saint Clare Hospital in Fenton. She was born on February 25, 1958 in Springfield to Carol and Barbara Burris Hacker. Carolyn married Scott Bayliff on February 14,, 1987 in Springfield and he survives.
Mrs. Bayliff is also survived by her son Benjamin Scott Bayliff of St. Louis, her daughter Callie Marie Bayliff of Fenton, her mother-in-law Sharon Bayliff of Hillsboro, Illinois, her brother-in-law Michael (Kathy) Bayliff of Independence, Missouri and their three children: Kamala, Melia, and Cooper Bayliff as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law William Bayliff.
Carolyn was the scheduling coordinator with the Mercy Orthopedic Clinic formerly known as the St. Louis Orthopedic Institute. She enjoyed walking in Fenton’s parks; and laying on the beach, skiing and visiting with family and friends at her families cabin on Matanza’s Beach near Havana, Illinois which she considered her second home. Carolyn enjoyed all kinds of music and was exposed to music at an early age with her father being the local musician Carol “Hack” Hacker. Family was very important to her and she loved the many holiday meals spent with those closest to her. She was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Springfield, a current member of Good Shepherd Lutheran in Manchester, Missouri, and she loved her rescue dogs Luke, Minx, and Lucy. Carolyn was known for her smile, bright eyes and knowing no strangers
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday January 27, 2017 at Bisch Funeral home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road, with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 4:00-7:00pm Thursday at Bisch West. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday January 28, 2017 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 327 Woods Mill Road in Manchester, Missouri.
