Bruce Wayne Ruyle, 73, of New Berlin, passed away on November 8, 2024 at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing and Rehab. He was born on January 5, 1951 in Springfield to Clarence W. “Dutch” Ruyle SR. and Helen J. Siebuhr Ruyle. Bruce married Virginia Ann (Burger) Jones on November 21, 1987 and she preceded him in death on September 9, 2024.
Mr. Ruyle is survived by three children: Jason (Hilary) Ruyle of Bloomington, Leslie (Raymond) Ruyle-Barnett of Chatham and Amanda (Mike) Ruyle-Ryan of Loami, five grandchildren: Addison, Payton, Raelyn, Olivia and Kelby and two brothers: Bill (Brenda) Ruyle and Don (Lori) Ruyle. He was preceded in death by one sister Sandra Toler.
Bruce worked in the heating and air conditioning business for over 50 years. After finishing technical school, he went to work for Schmidt Bros Inc until he ventured out on his own and started his own HVAC business, Bruce Ruyle, Inc in 1979. He operated that business until 2000 when he then became an owner of Central Illinois York until he retired and closed the business in 2024. He was an avid fisherman, a collector of model trains and he worked with and created stained glass. Bruce also enjoyed leather working and tooling and working on Ford Model A vehicles.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday November 17, 2024 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road. The family will greet friends from 1:30pm until the time of service on Sunday at Bisch West.
