Brian Webb Boone

Brian Webb Boone, 45, of Springfield, died at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at his residence. Brian was born February 3, 1967 in Olney, the son of Harlin and Jeanette Webb Boone. He married James Sunderland on June 5, 2011 in Springfield. Brian was a graduate of Immanuel High School in Mattoon in 1984 and UIS, formerly SSU in 1992 with a double major in math and computer science. He worked at H&H Data Services out of college until their time of closing. He then went to Franklin Life Insurance Co. which is now known as AIG. Brian enjoyed playing table tennis, racquetball and pool. He appreciated the beauty of nature, whatever the climate. He was preceded in death by his mother; dear friend Norman Ralph; and his beloved cat, Prince Precious Sunderland-Boone. He is survived by his husband, James Sunderland of Springfield; his father, Harlin Boone of Mattoon; one brother, Eric (partner, Royann) Boone of St. Marie; one sister, Christine (husband, Olin) Johnson of Terre Haute, IN; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
