He was born in Springfield, Sept. 14, 1967 the son of Kenneth and JoAnn Hickson Austin. He graduated in 1985 from Pawnee High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, a niece and a nephew.
Brian married Luan Baker in Chatham, IL August 12, 1995 and she survives.
He is also survived by his two sisters; Patty (husband Jim) Mileham of Riverton, and Susie (husband John) Martin of Farmersville, his brother, Mike (wife Jodee) Austin of Springfield, seven nieces, three nephews, two great nieces, a great nephew, his Horace Mann and Auburn School District families.
Brian worked at Horace Mann Insurance Co. for 29 years in various capacities. At the time of his death, he was the Director of Training for the Auto and Property Division.
Brian was a collector of Comic Books. He loved to travel, with recent trips this past summer to Florida and Alaska with his wife. He was well known as a trivia expert and recently became a NFL Football fan especially the Tennessee Titans. He was a friend to many and will be missed by everyone that knew him.
Visitation and Service: The family invites friends and family to a visitation at Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Sat. Nov. 15, 2014 from 9:00 am until time of services there at 11:00 am. His dear friend Jim Yale will officiate. Cremation Rites will be accorded following the services. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
