Beverly Ann Geiser

Beverly Ann Geiser, 77, of Springfield, died at 5:35 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. Beverly was born on August 17, 1934 in Springfield, the daughter of Lester and Mary Quinn Martin. She married William C. Geiser on August 3, 1957 in Springfield. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2007. Beverly was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Her greatest joy was being with her family. Beverly was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, always putting others first. Her fun-loving spirit will be forever missed. She loved football and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. She was also preceded in death by her parents and son, William D. Geiser. She is survived by her children, Paula G. (Tom) Balch of Clinton, NY, John F. (Susan) Geiser of Dallas, TX, Gia G. (Levent) Ozyurt of Springfield, and Bart J. (Jessica) Geiser of Prosper, TX; ten grandchildren, Kate, Anne, and Elizabeth Balch, Jack, Berk, and Willa Grace Ozyurt, Conner Geiser and Ryan Forkin, and Cain and Eden Geiser; siblings, Robert (Ann) Martin of Springfield, Mary Frances Clark of Biloxi, MS, and David Martin of Springfield; one aunt, Helen Kane of Springfield; one uncle, Wayne Martin of Champaign; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1725 S. Walnut St., Springfield with Rev. Jeff Grant, celebrant. Following the ceremony, a celebration of her life will be held at Illini Country Club. A private family burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
