Betty Jane Draper, 101, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday December 2, 2021 at her residence. She was born on September 6, 1920 in Springfield to George W. Lovell and Clara M. Wieties. Betty married William Draper on November 17, 1938 and he preceded her in death on August 25, 2009.
Mrs. Draper is survived by her children: William (Shirleen) Draper Jr. and Sam A. (Madalyn) Draper, twenty three grandchildren, forty six great-grandchildren, sixteen great-great-grandchildren, two great-great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four children: Robert E. Draper, John D. Draper, Janet M. Gaynor and Doris L. Ritz.
Betty was a longtime member of Pasfield Southern Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday December 11, 2021 at Pasfield Southern Baptist Church, 411 West Lenox Ave. The family will greet friends from 11:00am until the time of service Saturday at church.
