

Bud was born on July 5, 1933, in Liberal, KS, the son of George and Vera (Everley) Berry. He married Margaret Ann Megginson on May 10, 1968, in Union City, TN.
Bud proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for General Telephone and Electronics Corporation. Bud enjoyed working on old cars and trucks and spending time outdoors. He was a great man, which was apparent by his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and his healthy sense of humor.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Berry; and infant brother, Daniel Berry.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Timothy (Suzanne) Berry of New Berlin, June (Chuck) McGrew of Hannibal, MO, James “Jim” (Sue) Berry of Marble Falls, TX, Benjamin (Susan) Berry of Springfield, Amy Berry of Chatham, LeAnne (Shaun Kerr) Robinson of Springfield, and Jennifer (Dave Penning) Berry of Springfield; grandchildren, Aaron Berry, Ian Berry, Brandon McGrew, Blake McGrew, Brent Howard, Brad Howard, Breanna Warner, Keaton Berry, Cameron Berry, Kailey Berry, Nathaniel Berry, Lori Berry, Olivia Christy, Garrett Christy, Vivian Rollet, Miles Rollet, and Evan Berry; siblings, Christine Powers of Petersburg, Doris Berry of Tempe, AZ, Joyce (Ted) Little of Roodhouse, Glenn (Paula) Berry of Mt. Vernon, and Dave (Mary Lou) Berry of Hannibal, MO; and blessings of multiple great-grandchildren.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home – Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield, IL. Due to COVID restrictions there will be limited capacity.
