Barbara was born on February 6, 1939, in Tyler, TX, the daughter of James and Doris Hicks Frizzell. She married Richard “Dick” Greiner on January 13, 1962, in Tyler, TX. Dick preceded her in death on September 24, 2014.
Barbara was a graduate of Citrus High School in California. She continued her education at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, TX, where she was an Apache Belle on the Tyler Junior College Drill Team. With the Drill Team, Barbara participated in drills at major Bowl Games and other Texas functions.
She enjoyed bowling, shopping, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Barbara was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Wanda Lambert.
She is survived by her two sons, R. Mark (Angela) Greiner of Carlinville, IL, and Jason Greiner of Winchester, IL; three grandchildren, David, Joshua, and Lexi Greiner; and one stepgranddaughter, Johannah Martin. In addition to her children and grandchildren, Barbara is survived by one niece, Heather Mikesell; and one nephew, Rob Schafer.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Graveside Service: A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oak Ridge Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum with Pastor Brooks Wilson officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum at Oak Ridge.
