Barbara H Farris

Barbara was born September 18, 1922, in Staunton, IL, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Irene Woods Farris.

Barbara moved with her family to the Rio Grande Valley in TX where she graduated from Edinburg High School in Edinburg, TX. She later moved back to IL and was employed with the State of Illinois Attorney General’s Office and Department of Public Aid for many years. Barbara was a member of D.A.R. and Missouri Mayflower Society and loved antiquing, reading, and spending time with her cats.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sons, John and Rick Beinke.

Barbara is survived by her granddaughter, Bridget (Christopher) Brewer of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Naomi and Simona Brewer of Decatur; adopted granddaughter and friend, Heidi Hills of Springfield; daughter-in-law, Kathy Beinke of Decatur, and her beloved cat, Tommy.

Private Graveside Ceremony was held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.
