Barbara J. Bahr

She was born on November 12, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri., to Earl A. Ginter and Zollie L. Prather both of St. Louis, Missouri. Barbara was the youngest of five children.

Barbara married E. Wayne Bahr of St. Louis on September 17, 1960 and

he preceded her in death in 2003. Also preceding her in death Daughter in law

Julie Hendel- Bahr in 2017 as well as her four siblings and spouses, Dorothy (Art) Franz, Earl JR. (Betty) Ginter, Rudy (Jet) Ginter and Virginia (Stanley) Ausbrooks.

Barbara is survived by three children: Richard (Michelle) Bahr of Corvallis, Oregon., Ronald (Julie, deceased) Bahr of Mansfield, Texas., and Carolyn (Rick) Conover of Athens, Illinois., two grandchildren: Royce (Emily) Conover and Kellie Conover, as

Well as many nieces and nephews.

Barbara worked for the State of Illinois Department of Public Aid and retired in 2000. Barbara was a member of Abeba Temple #42 Daughters of the Nile,

Marjorie Post Circle and The King’s Daughters Organization of Springfield.

She was also a member of The First Congressional Church of Springfield.

Barbara loved to travel and visit new places. Whether camping with the family out west with the camper in tow behind the station wagon to the many cruises her and Wayne would embark on where she loved walking the beaches and collecting shells.

Friends may call from 11:00am until 3:00pm Friday June 5, 2020 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road. The family will be present for the formal visitation starting at 4:00pm and ending at 7:00pm Friday June 5th at Bisch West and CDC guidelines will be followed regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic. A private burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Louis. MO.
