

Antoinette M. Pirrera, 81, of Springfield, passed away at 7:45 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2002 at St. John’s Hospital. Antoinette was born December 18, 1920 the daughter of Ignatius and Angela Malambri-Campo in Springfield. She married Anthony Pirrera November 18, 1945 at St. Agnes Catholic Church; he preceded her in death June 21, 2001. Antoinette had been an associate and co-owner of the Food Mart since 1930. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She was preceded by her parents; her husband: Anthony; one sister: Flora Nettie Wilson and one brother Peter Campo. She is survived by two sons: Peter (wife, Carolyn) Pirrera of Springfield, Anthony (wife, Brenda) Pirrera of Bettendorf, IA; five grandchildren: Charles S. Pirrera of Springfield, Shaun A. Pirrera of Chicago, Christopher A. Pirrera of Chicago, Angela (husband, David) Scott of Iowa City, IA, Jennifer L. Pirrera of Dubuque, IA; one great grandchild: Maxwell A. Scott of Iowa City, IA and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 4-7:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2002 with a wake service at 4:00 p.m. Concelebrated Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2002 at Christ the King Catholic Church with Reverend David Lantz principal celebrant and Reverend Aaron Pirrera OSB concelebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Christ the King Catholic Church Building Fund 1930 Barberry Drive, Springfield, IL 62704. The family of Antoinette M.
