Anna C. Jarrard

Anna C. Jarrard, 86, of Springfield passed away on Thursday June 12, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on December 2, 1927 in Petersburg to Oscar and Nellie Bracken Morrison. She married Kenneth L. Jarrard on July 9, 1948 and he preceded her in death on April 29, 2004.

Mrs. Jarrard is survived by her son Gary (Kathy) Jarrard of Pleasant Plains, four daughters: Janet Matrisch of Chatham, Kathy Gerold of Brooklyn Park, MN., Karen Bricker of Springfield and Sharon Gerold of New Prague, MN., nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three brothers: Frank (Sherry) Morrison, Ed Morrison, and Pete (Peggy) Morrison, two sisters: Jane Juris and Norma Wilson, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Charlie, Bob, and Junior Morrison, her sister Bertha Hudspeth, and one son Dennis A. Jarrard.

Anna was a homemaker who liked to ride her bicycle, work in her yard and garden, listen to country music and cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals. She was also a member of Pleasant Plains Church of Christ.
