Angela M. Griffin, 54, of Springfield, passed away on October 21, 2024 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born on August 8, 1970 in DeKalb, Illinois to Richard Leeman and Shirley Wilhelms. Angela married Derek Griffin on October 30, 1999 in Springfield and he survives.
Mrs. Griffin is also survived by her children: Eva Griffin of St. Louis and Ian Griffin of Carbondale, two siblings: Scott (Kristie) Leeman of Iowa City, Iowa and Lindsay (Jason O’Laughlin Sr.) of Macon and her parents Richard Leeman of Peoria and Shirley Wilhelms of Decatur.
Angela graduated from Quincy University with a degree in Marketing. After college she worked in marketing for a Peoria, Illinois radio station and then moved to Springfield where she worked for Kearney Advertising, UIS Sangamon Auditorium and GM Anderson and Associates. Angela was a Mary Kay team leader and currently was working for MB Heating and Cooling as a sales manager.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday October 26, 2024 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road, with burial to follow at Old Salem Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00am until the time of service Saturday at Bisch West. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League.
