Alva F. Wires

He was born on August 24, 1943 in Rose Hill, VA, the son of the late Lillie Mae Wires. He married Beverly Trader and she survives.

Mr. Wires worked as a garbage man for DeLong’s and then later for Allied Waste. He loved to play horseshoes and pool.

He is also survived by his children, Kim (sis) Ayers of Rose Hill, VA, Debbie Wires of Rose Hill, VA, Verna (Dink)Eldridge (Dan) of Kell, IL, Cynthia Wires of Springfield, and Pamela Pendall (Bud)of Springfield; Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Junior Spurlock (Elizabeth ) Kendra & Chase, Bridget Spurlock (Randy) Destiny, Madison, Hunter. Crystal Wires ( Jason). Aron Eldridge (Becky) Emily, Micah, Maryssa, Erika, Samantha Eldridge (Bobby) Jase , Kaylee, Natasha Lang (Jared) Trysta, Kirsten. Ashley Pendall , Marcus, Ivory. Frankie Pendall, Laura. Lara Schoenhard (Matt), Anna, Eli, Grace. many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; his sister Jean Marcum of Rose Hill, VA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his first loving wife Bonnie, a son Timothy Wires, and his sister Ruth Pauley. Cousins Brenda ,Charles,Bill Farley. Pauline Lash, Betty Vanhoos. Benny Pauley, Babe Marcum. Paul Marcum

Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. No services are scheduled at this time.
