He was born on October 21, 1996, in Sparta, IL, the son of Daniel R. and Tara (Mattson) Brue.
Adam attended Bement High School, studied at Richland Community College, and continued his education at the University of Alaska Anchorage. He later became a teacher at Hope Learning Academy, where he found great joy in educating and supporting his students. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to helping everyone he encountered, giving without any expectation of reciprocity. His generosity, selflessness, and loyalty touched the lives of many, including his cherished friends Olivia Brady and Elaina Wittmer. Adam was an accomplished saxophonist, swimmer, runner, and chef. He especially loved sharing his food, music, and time playing video games with those he cared about. These things left lasting memories for all fortunate enough to have experienced them. Above all, Adam’s greatest priority was the health and happiness of his family, friends, and students. His legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness will live on in our memories.
He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Tara Brue of Virginia, IL; brothers, Jonah and Mason Brue; cousins, Brandon and Tyler Pedracine, Hannah, Zayne, and Nathan Mattson, Kaylee Lounsberry, and Jacob, Alex, and Ethan Brue; aunts and uncles, Lisa (Jay) Pedracine, Ryan Mattson, Chris (Lisa) Mattson, Matthew (Chris) Brue, Michael (Jennifer) Brue, and Patrick Brue; and grandparents, Linda and Kenneth Brue, David and Cyndi Mattson, and Barbara and David Mead.
