Richard L Stahl

Richard L. Stahl, age 93, of Springboro, Ohio passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023 after a lengthy illness. Richard was born on September 12, 1930 to Carl and Elsie Stahl in Glouster, OH. After Richard graduated from Glouster High School in 1948 he was drafted into the US Army where he served two years during the Korean War being stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He then worked various jobs including the railroad for nine years before employment with Ohio Bell where he was a lineman and facilities specialist in engineering for thirty-seven years retiring in 1992.

He married his high school sweetheart in 1951, Connie Keith and went on to have five children, Peggy, Linda, Rick, Sharon and Karen.

Dick, (as he liked to be called) was very active in the Miamisburg Christian Church and the Springboro Christian Church, serving as Deacon, Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, as well as being very hands on in the establishment and building of the Springboro Christian Church in 1970. He enjoyed being with his family and various activities including golf, fishing, bowling and especially the church softball team.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Carl and Elsie (Grimm) Stahl. sisters, Dorothy (Stahl) Cartright, Mary (Stahl) Beard, Irene Stahl and brother, William Stahl.

He is survived by his loving, faithful and devoted wife of 72 1/2 years, Connie Stahl; Brother, David Stahl; five children, Peggy (Stahl) and David Sprott, Linda (Stahl) Borsos, Rick (Wanda) Stahl, Sharon (Stahl) and Steve Neer, Karen (Stahl) and Jeff Ricker. His grandchildren, Angela (Nate) Wale, Amy (Josh) Smith, Karla (Cedric) Crucke, Brooke (Matt) Miller, Shane Wilbur, Marissa Wilbur, Brandon Fender, Troy Sprott, Chris Sprott, Olivia Neer and five great grandchildren; Breanna Wale, Alivia Wale, Gabrielle Crucke, Neyland Miller and Peyton Miller as well a numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, November 26, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 North Main Street, Springboro, Ohio 45066. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 12 noon with Funeral Services to follow at 1:00 PM at Morrison Funeral Home, 6525 OH-78, Glouster, Ohio with Paul Nichols, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Wood Cemetery with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Hospital or Hospice of Butler Warren County.
