Jim was born and raised in Miamisburg, OH. He was a proud 1951 Alumnus of Miamisburg High School. After high school, he went on to serve in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, at which time he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan as a member of 16th Fighter Interceptor Squadron from Nellis Air Force Base. After his military service, Jim was employed by NCR, Bergstrom Paper Mill, Coca Cola, Miamisburg Schools as a bus driver and retired from Modern Industrial Plastics.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Nannette Huff, his son John Jay Huff, his grandson Aaron Huff, his parents, and 8 siblings. Jim was the youngest of 9.
Jim is survived by his children Gary Huff of Miamisburg, OH; Connie Gibson of Albany, OH; Cheryl Huff of Martinez, GA; Son-in-law Clifton Gray-Huff of Miamisburg, OH; Pam Dalton of Germantown, OH; Grandchildren; Sierra (Mike) Neeley of Akron, OH; Emily Huff (Tadd Killian) of Dayton, OH; Ryan (Cheryl) Gibson of Miamisburg, OH; Jenae (Trey) Scearce of Martinez, GA; Kyle Huff of Franklin, OH; Savannah Lucas of Fairborn, OH; Great-grandchildren; Stephen, Michael, Tyler, Kelsey, Aubrey and Lilith; Great-great-grandchildren; Jocelyn and Corbin; as well as beloved nieces, nephews and extended family from Bethany Village, Miamisburg and Franklin Nazarene Churches.
Jim and Nannette loved to travel and went on a vacation every year when they were raising their children. They enjoyed trips with Bethany Village, their church and extended family. Jim was an usher at both Franklin and Miamisburg Nazarene Churches and occasionally drove the church bus. When Jim was stationed in Texas with the USAF, he received his private pilots license. He loved anything with an engine and owned many motorcycles and cars. Jim had trophies for racing motorcycles. He was on many bowling leagues and won many bowling trophies. Jim volunteered with his wife at Bethany Lutheran Village where they had lived for 22 years. A Memorial Service will be 12pm Saturday January 15, 2022 at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E 2nd St Franklin, OH.
