Christopher Stewart Edgell

Chris Edgell, born April 26, 1973, in Kettering, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2024. He was cherished dearly by his family and loved ones including his parents Bob and Beth Edgell, son Nathan Edgell (Mother to Nathan, Simone), siblings Amy Pratt (Steve), Tim Edgell, Angie Guy Cockerell (significant other), and extended family and friends.

He grew up in Englewood and graduated in 1991 from Northmont High School. He earned his BS in Telecommunications at Ohio University in 1995. Upon graduation, he started working at Qwest Communications as a long-distance fiber network planner.

Throughout his career, he held various roles in the telecommunications industry including Communications Director, Project Manager and Senior Engineer.

To know Chris was to love Chris. He had an infectious personality and quick-witted humor that was unmatchable. Chris was a loving son, father, brother, uncle and an exceptional friend. He valued helping others through hard times, provided invaluable advice, and laughter to everyone he was around. Chris was an amazing dad to his son, Nathan, and drove everyone around him to be kind and compassionate.

Chris enjoyed music, theatre, kayaking, travel, and his beloved Sydney, his pup that he rescued during his time in California.

He will be missed immensely and, in our hearts, forever.

Please join us in celebrating his life at Anderson Funeral Home on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 40 North Main Street, Springboro Ohio, 45066.
