Charles "Charlie" R. Smith, age 83, of Springboro, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Charlie is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Peggy (Humbert) Smith; his four children, Kelly and wife, Becky Smith, Kerry and wife, Carla Smith, Kristy and husband, Terry Shetterly, Kory and wife, Kimberlee Smith; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and his "Best Bud" Ernie. He was a longtime member of Springboro First United Methodist Church and had retired in 2000 from Armco/ AK Steel. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021, at Springboro First United Methodist Church, 60 East North Street, Springboro with Pastor Joe Royer officiating. Interment will follow in Springboro Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the Anderson Funeral Home- Springboro Chapel, 40 North Main Street from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2021.
