Brian was a graduate of Wooten High School in Rockville, MD, and Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH, where he studied History and was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. He was a talented writer, an avid reader, and a camping and bike trail enthusiast. He loved to share these activities and his knowledge with his children and as a coach and mentor.
Brian also loved youth sports. Over the past 15 years, he coached, umpired, and refereed baseball, softball, volleyball, basketball, & football, and supported his children in each and every sport. He didn't know how to say no, nor tell anyone he couldn't help them, so it was only fitting that he gave the gift of life as an organ and tissue donor.
Brian is survived by his mother, Betty Lorenz; daughter, Olivia Lorenz; son, Evan Lorenz; former spouse, Cindi Lorenz; aunts, Barb (Bruce) Burke; and Janice (Hanson Kappelman) Lorenz; cousins, Rob (Jenny) Burke, Kevin (Cat) Burke, Stacey (Aaron) Pearson, Christopher Fielden, Derek (Reanna) Fielden, Kelly (Joe) Natasi, Amelia (Greg Boettner) Lorenz, and Kalyn (Jeff Bowen) Kappleman, along with several wonderful nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Laurence Lorenz.
A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial Donations may be made in Brian's name at https://www.lifeconnection.org/charitable-contributions
