Sharon Joy (nee Davis) Kaplan, born in Philadelphia on February 7, 1934, passed peacefully on September 29, 2024, after a short illness. Sharon was a graduate of the Philadelphia High School for Girls (Class of ’51) and Swarthmore College (Class of ’55). She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Seymour (“Shimmy”) Kaplan, parents: Herman Davis and Rosalie Davis Goldberg; and bonus son, Stephen Harney.
She will lovingly be remembered by her children: James Kaplan, Beth Kaplan (David Pereyra), Dana Kaplan Harney and Joshua Kaplan (Alia Shields); grandchildren: Kevin Harney, Kara Harney Lockenbach (Joseph Lockenbach), Melissa Kaplan, Dunahay Pereyra, Lily Kaplan and Clara Kaplan; and was “TG” (Terrific Grandma) to her great-grandchildren: Sage & Harlow Lockenbach. She is also survived by her brother Scott (Pia) Davis.
Sharon’s greatest joy was her family. We love you 4 Mom because it is more than too!
Graveside services for Sharon will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Clovesville Cemetery, 72 Grocholl Rd, Fleischmanns, NY 12430.
