Marvin Louis Sherman, “The Town Mayor”, of Tuxedo Park, NY and Boynton Beach, FL, passed away on November 12, 2014, surrounded by his family. Marvin was born September 5, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Samuel and Bella Sherman. Marvin was the owner and founder of Action Metal Co, Inc., in Stony Point, NY. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Pythias (Spring Valley), and was an avid reader and chess player. He played chess whenever possible at the Unitarian Congregation Church in Pomona, and whenever he was in Florida. Marvin is survived by his beloved wife Myra, cherished children Scott (Shelly), Gail (Michael) Fishbein and Brad (Terri), his adoring grandchildren Jane, Jonathan, Craig, Elizabeth and Jacoby, and his loving sister Judy (Leon) Stein. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
