Jack H. Rosenberg of Suffern, New York, passed away on March 28, 2017, at the age of 91. He was a loving husband to Ruth P. Rosenberg, and is survived by his children Linda Alleva (Jim) and Arlene Gillman (Charles). He was a beloved husband, father, father-in-law, brother, uncle, great–uncle, cousin and friend.
Rockland County was his home for forty-nine years and he devoted himself to its betterment. He was a practicing attorney for most of his life and a Village Trustee in both Spring Valley and Suffern. He was a life-long Roosevelt Democrat.
Public service was his main passion in life but he also derived great pleasure from the Great American Songbook. He was a former President of the Irving Siegal Rockland Chapter of B’nai Brith and of the Village of Suffern Community Foundation, Inc. He also served on the Board of the Esther Gitlow Towers in Suffern.
Funeral Services will be held Friday March 31, 2017, 1:00 PM, at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY. Interment will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus, New Jersey. Memorial Contributions in Jack’s memory should be made to the Village of Suffern Community Foundation.
