Wesley (Wes) G. Crail, age 92, of Spring Hill, FL died on March 12, 2015 at the Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center in Brooksville. He was born on December 17, 1922 to the late John Wesley and Ruby Christine (Hancock) Crail in Leechburg, PA. Wes served in the U.S. Navy in WWII from 1943 to 1946 before raising a family in PA. He retired as a Head Roller for Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation after 37 years. Wes was also a gunsmith and owner of “Crail’s Custom Rifles.” Wes and Ellie moved to Spring Hill in 1978 where he worked for Bruko Aluminum and later became known as a Master Gem Cutter. He was a 62-year member of the Disabled Veterans of America and a longtime 32 Degree Mason of the Kiskiminetas Lodge in Vandergrift, PA. Lutheran in faith, he served as a longtime member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, ELCA, in Spring Hill; he and his family were instrumental in establishing the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Memorial Garden. Wesley is preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Eleanor (Johnson) Crail, in Feb. 2014 and his son Bradley Crail in Feb. 2010. Wesley is survived by his daughter Cherylann Schneider and her husband Robert of Spring Hill, and by his daughter Chris Andrews of Brooksville, FL, as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 6193 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34606 in April. Pastor Peter J. Morey and Pastor William Prior will co-celebrate. Wesley will join his wife and son in the Memorial Garden following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for either the Memorial Garden Fund at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 6193 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34606.
