Robert (Bob) Francis Waddey, age 84, of Brooksville, FL passed away peacefully at home on June 21, 2024, under the care of hospice.
Bob was born on June 15,1940 in Nashville, TN to William and Frances Waddey. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Ed, Dale and Mike. He is survived by his wife, Liz; sister Lynda (Art) Reiter; nephews Chris, Tim (Melinda) and Richard Reiter; great nephews Vito, Saben, Brady and RJ Reiter; great nieces Bailey and Isabella Reiter; in laws Bill and Nancy Ashley, Mark Ashley and many more family members and special friends.
Prior to moving to Brooksville, Bob was raised in Clearwater, FL. In his younger years he enjoyed playing on a fast pitch softball team with his buddies. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Saratoga CVA-60. He was the owner of Brooksville Carpet Center and later became a poker dealer at Seminole. Bob had a lifelong love of antiques and spent his retirement years as a dealer at Webster Westside Flea market and many other venues. He will be deeply missed.
Per Bob’s request, there will be no service. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
